The term flambeau was originally applied to a lighted torch, or a large ornamental candlestick. Todays flambeaux usually have multiple lights, with bulbs in imitation of flames, and tend to be very decorative and ornate. This splendid flambeau lamp is no exception!

Illumination is provided not by electricity, but by 'flambeau candles'
