KEF Uni-Q Design

The Ci160-RR THX in-ceiling speaker has a 6.5” diameter designed with KEF’s Uni-Q technology. This involves positioning the treble unit within the throat of the woofer, ultimately creating a single point source for sound across the frequency spectrum. The end result of this is a broader, more cohesive sound.

Tangerine Wave-Guide

The Ci160-RR has improved treble dispersion by using KEF’s "tangerine" wave-guide technology. This is basically a radial channel phase plug that creates a slight compression loading effect resulting in slightly higher output gain without the need for additional power. This results in more efficient high-end performance with greater dispersion and better treble integration with the mid-range.

Quick and easy to install

The Ci160RR THX is easily installable, with special skills needed, a main characteristic found in all of the KEF Ci-R series. It’s 160mm diameter cut out is the same as any 160mm KEF speaker for ease of installation and component selection. The greyish white speaker covering allows for a discreet look.

All the KEF Ci-Series speakers have been sonically matched so that the tonal characteristics of the speakers don’t change if you have multiple KEF speakers in your system. This provides tonal balance, accuracy and neutrality of the sound throughout your room.
